Why improvised music? For several reasons, of which here the principal ones:
-In one year of improvisation, you will have played more different pieces than all the largest pianists and interpreters from planet…
- The improvisation in jazz is common but on the other hand, almost non-existent in the traditional one !?
- For the traditional improvisation, increase in the repertory. Indeed, the number of pieces "suitable" traditional to listen is limited… If you play all the year the same pieces, a little innovation will be very nice, even if they are improvisations!
- The improvisation also makes it possible to refine considerably its technique and especially its musical sensitivity. The traditional training of the piano "kills" the expressivity of the musician, because the share devoted to deciphering and the development of the musical parts is too significant compared to that devoted to the quality of interpretation.
Moreover, with force to listen to and play 10, 20, 100, 1000…!? time the same piece - known…, the sensitivity of the interpreter for this part can only of found faded.

Start now improvising...! Even if you do not have a special gift at the beginning - it is true that certain exceptionally gifted understand a piece and immediately plays it note near on the keyboard… - to improvise is with the range of all one each one.
It is as a painter who wants to draw a portrait. After the 100th, 1000th 1000.....th portraits, the resemblance between what you see and what you really transcribe on paper will inevitably start to become of quality.
For the music, it is the same thing. After a sufficient number of hour spend to improvise, which you feel and "hear" in your head passes in your fingers and is transmitted on the instrument in an increasingly clear way.
